Qualifications at SET

GCSE

Pupils at SET can study and complete GCSE Qualifications in core and vocational subjects. Entries are made through their mainstream schools with examinations being sat onsite.

SET is working towards becoming an independent exam centre which means pupils without schools can be entered for GCSE’s too.

Unit Award Scheme

SET is accredited by the AQA to create, deliver, asses and enter pupils for Unit Award Scheme Certificates.

These can be completed in a wide range of subjects and skill areas. Previous pupils have achieved certificates in Animal Care, Beauty, Childcare, Fashion, Cooking and Life Skills.

Functional Skills

Currently pupils at SET can study and sit Entry Level exams in Maths, English and Science. Entries are made through their mainstream school.

SET is working to become an independent exam centre and hope to offer Level 1 and 2 Functional Skills qualifications next academic year. Providing alternative training and qualifications to school age and POST-16 Pupils.
